Friday, July 3, 2015 (8:00pm-10:00pm) – True stories, told live without notes. A staple of the literary and art scenes in New York and Los Angeles, the Moth Mainstage is a celebration of both the raconteur, who breathes fire into true tales of ordinary life, and the storytelling novice, who has lived through something extraordinary and yearns to share it. At the center of each performance is, of course, the story — and The Moth’s directors work with each storyteller to find, shape, and present it. Here in Aspen, Festival speakers have teamed up with Moth directors to develop stories for stage. Moth veterans will also join the show for an unforgettable evening of storytelling. Tonight’s theme: Big Night. (Doors open at 7:30)
