Maurice Ashley and MATCH Summer Chess Camp

MATCH SUMMER CHESS CAMP
COLLEGIATE SCHOOL
RICHMOND, VA
JULY 28- AUGUST 11, 2014

“World-class chess training using renowned Grandmaster Maurice Ashley’s revolutionary teaching methods. Campers learn from the Grandmaster as well as from coaches who have been trained in his techniques (scroll down).

This year’s theme will be: Using Technology to Boost Success.  As usual, students will have lessons several times each day, play supervised chess games, play fun chess games (drills in disguise) and, in the afternoon, play tournament style games followed by game analysis.  Interspersed between these activities, students will have the opportunity to use a variety of chess software on iDevices and computers.  Students LOVE using technology to learn chess.  While they are having fun, they will be taught how to use these resources to study independently when they aren’t at camp or with a coach.”
